About BelDisco
The Institute for Belarusian Discourse and Content (BelDisco) is a scholarly working group of researchers and educators from public institutions worldwide. It documents, publishes, and disseminates Belarus-related content and discourse within an international academic framework.
Originating in 2010 as an informal Belarusian Circle at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, BelDisco has evolved into a research network promoting Open Science practices in the humanities. Its members, active across Slavic linguistics, history, literature, the arts, and the broader Belarusian cultural and civilizational space, contribute as part of their scholarly responsibilities in public institutions worldwide.
Mission
In the 21st century, only content that is well indexed, accessible, and reproducible can be considered truly Open. BelDisco works to increase the visibility of Belarus-related content and discourse through sustainable publishing and indexing models — helping researchers and the wider public save time, avoid dispersion, and access curated resources of lasting value.
